Barnevelder, Buff Orpington, Light Sussex and Silkie ChicksAt Haytor Reach Conservation Farm we raise our chicks in small batches with the best hygiene possible, ensuring happy, healthy birds.

As an added bonus we carry out an immunisation program starting when the chicks are a day old. It would be impossible to vaccinate chicks from all known poultry diseases so we have selected what we believe to be of the highest priority.

Most diseases and infections can be prevented by good husbandry.

Returns
  • We only sell birds which are in the best of health.
  • Day old chicks-1 week old carry no guarantee because of their vulnerability, however we would never sell a chick that showed any signs of illness.
  • Chicks from 1 week- 3 weeks carry 2 day guarantee from collection.
  • Chicks from 3 weeks- 8 weeks are guaranteed for 5 days from collection.
  • Birds over 8 weeks old are guaranteed for 10 days from collection. If a bird passes away before this date a full refund will be given.

DO NOT RETURN DEAD BIRDS without first gaining clearance.

Guarantees are void if:
  • The deceased bird has been eaten or attacked.
  • The bird is missing.
  • The bird has died from being kept in poor conditions.
  • it has been bullied or harassed by other birds, livestock, children etc.
